Imagine yourself tearing across a sheet of ice at 50 km/hour on blades one millimetre wide. A sharp curve looms ahead. Several other skaters are attempting to cut you off but you leave them behind in a cloud of ice shards. If you crave speed, fun, and a lot of strategy, then welcome to the thrill and spectacle of Short Track Speed Skating!
The purpose of Speed School at Sydney Ice Arena is to encourage young skaters to participate competitively in the sport of Short Track Speed Skating. We are committed to helping this exciting sport grow in Sydney. Short Track is a fun way to keep fit and healthy, as well as a great opportunity to have fun making new friends, learning new skills, travelling.......It could be your path to the Winter Olympics!

Sessions for Vikings Members
- Tuesday 6-7pm on ice. Please arrive at 5pm for land training
- Friday 6-7.15 pm on ice. Please arrive at 5pm for land training
Skaters attending these sessions are encouraged to join the Vikings club, so that they can take part in the many racing events throughout the year.
The cost of these sessions is $14 each session. Including entry and group coaching. Members of other registered clubs are also welcome. Overseas speed skaters also welcome for Holiday Camps.
